Mrs. Katherine Fulgenzi
Mrs. Katherine Fulgenzi joined the PVI faculty as an English teacher.
Mrs. Fulgenzi was born in Jacksonville, Florida but moved around a lot because her father was a Naval officer who flew helicopters. Eventually, her family settled in Burke, Virginia, she attended James Madison University and Marymount University and earned a Bachelor's of Business Administration and a Master's in Education. Before coming to PVI, she taught middle school language arts at St. Veronica Catholic School.
In her free time, Mrs. Fulgenzi enjoys hiking, reading, CrossFit, and spending time with her family. St. Elizabeth Ann Seton is her favorite saint.
Mrs. Fulgenzi says that she loves to discuss poetry with her students and that there is so much to analyze within such a small amount of text. “The choice of words used by the author is only one of the many aspects of poetry that, once studied, makes the reader pause and truly contemplate its selection,” she shares.
Her favorite quote is from the movie Ferris Bueller: "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it." According to Mrs. Fulgenzi, “PVI fosters an environment that allows and encourages its students to be open about their journey with faith. The focus on loving God and loving each other creates a safe community where students are able to grow into who God wants them to be.”
