Virginia March for Life
On Wednesday, February 21, 2024, a group of PVI students and faculty, including members of our Panthers for Life Club and PVI drumline, beautifully represented St. Paul VI Catholic High School at the Virginia March for Life in Richmond.
The students met with state senators and spoke with passion and conviction. As one adult who attended noted, "The senator heard loud and clear that the pro-life movement in the district is strong, young, informed, competent, and committed. These students are a credit to their families, their school, and our Catholic faith."
The
Virginia March for Life began in 2019 in response to a new Virginia law removing all restrictions on abortion. This law made Virginia one of the most pro-abortion states in the United States. Since then, the Virginia March for Life and Defending Life Day have been held in February, when the legislative session begins, to remind the Virginia legislature about the importance of protecting unborn life. Bishop Burbidge has urged citizens of goodwill from the Diocese of Arlington to participate in this initiative on behalf of the most vulnerable.
