Not only has Ginny tirelessly and fearlessly served our school and community, but her husband, The Honorable Bill Colwell, has been by her side through it all. Bill has volunteered to proctor a number of classes and even taught Practical Law. He and Ginny have cheered on every sports team, clapped for our student musicians and actors during countless fine arts performances, wrapped burgers at Summer Sizzler, welcomed new families at Open House, served pizza from the Panther Pause, and attended more extracurricular activities than one can imagine. Ginny’s “by the numbers” speech during Baccalaureate Mass has been a highlight each year and we are looking forward to her final one this year with – to borrow her phrase – “wet smiles.” Prior to her retirement from PVI and the Diocese of Arlington at the end of June, we invite you to join us in toasting and celebrating the achievements of Ginny Colwell. Please join us on Saturday, April 30 at Black & Gold Gala: Under the Stars, as we raise a glass and recognize Ginny for her years of guidance and leadership through many challenges and successes while helping our students, faculty and staff continue to “Grow in Grace and Wisdom.” We extend our special thanks to our gala committee and our sponsors who are making this special evening possible. Our dedicated volunteer leaders, who have been working on this event for months, are looking forward to hosting the Black & Gold Gala, and share their excitement in bringing our community together after being postponed during the pandemic. We look forward to welcoming you to the Black & Gold Gala and as we honor our beloved Head of School, Mrs. Ginny Colwell. |
