Paul VI fields a Varsity and JV softball team. Both teams play a WCAC schedule and also play games against top public schools in the area. The Paul VI Varsity is coached by E J Thomas and is assisted by Katie Grim. Jean Wheeler coaches the JV team and is assisted by Rich Donahue. The Lady Panthers have finished in the first division of the WCAC twelve out of the last 13 years and have finished in the top five in VISSA VA State Rankings every year since 1999. Paul VI's softball team has won over 200 games since 1998 and has won 15 or more games 9 out of the last 10 years. The attributes that set Paul VI softball apart are: hustle, determination, teamwork, positive attitudes and good sportsmanship. Paul VI softball players respect their coaches, opponents, and umpires and are not ashamed to give thanks to GOD for the blessings bestowed on them.
