WHY PVI?

  • With a co-ed student body of 1000 students, we are able to focus on the needs of the individual student and keep our class sizes small.
  • 71% of our current PVI faculty members have a minimum of a Master's degree in either education or their subject area being taught. This includes 5 PhD's and one Medical Doctor. The average teaching experience of the current PVI teacher is 15.8 years.
  • Over the past 5 years, we have numerically benchmarked our college acceptance rates and we have virtually 100% acceptance rate when compared to like students in other private and public schools.
  • PVI currently offers 20 Advanced Placement courses with multiple AP courses in each core area.
  • PVI offers 128 electives to choose from including cyber science, a hybrid online experience.
  • PVI has a school-wide initiative to integrate technology into the curriculum in every discipline with support from the digital resource center and tech lab. Our Instructional technologists work with students to utilize Microsoft Office and in the use of Macromedia including Web 2.0 tools.
  • PVI considers itself an innovative leader in Catholic education in the area of academic support for students with learning differences and disabilities.
  • Tutorial and study hall programs are available after school at no additional charge to the family.
  • Receiving the Sacraments is a way of life at PVI. Optional daily Mass is offered twice daily and opportunities for weekly confession are made available. The community gathers monthly for school-wide Mass.
  • All students take a single, specifically selected Theology course each semester in order to learn and apply their Catholic Faith.
  • All students are required to attend various retreat programs in order to develop a more meaningful experience with God.
  • Personal and group service projects are a continual activity for PVI students.
  • The school's focus on Pride Values and Integrity coupled with its outstanding academic programs, and extracurricular activities answer the question "Why PVI?"
