Application Process

  • Complete an Application

    Our application deadline has passed. If you would like to complete the application process, you will receive a delayed admission decision. Please contact admissions@paulvi.net for more information.

    Submit an online application. There is a $65 fee. Application fee waivers are available for our legacy families (children of alumni.) Please contact admissions@paulvi.net to obtain your code.
    • In order to complete our secure online application, you will need an account and password.
      • If you already have a myPVI account and password, log in and continue your application.
      • If you are a new user, click on "Create an Account."
      • If you have previously created an account but have forgotten your password, reset your password here by selecting the "Forgot your password?" link.
    The application deadline is January 5, 2024. Applications received after this date will be reviewed based on available space.
  • Visit Day (Required) and Parent Information Session

    Once an application to Paul VI is received, you will receive an email with a link to register for a Visit Day. All applicants are required to attend a Visit Day, where they will attend classes with a PVI student host. Applicants will also be interviewed by a member of the Admissions Committee during their visit.
    • What to wear: Students who currently attend a diocesan elementary school, please wear your uniform. Students not enrolled in diocesan schools should wear your Sunday best.
    • What to bring: You do not need to bring any school materials with you. Bring any medications/inhalers that may be needed over the course of your visit. We will also let the nurse know of medical concerns.
    • Lunch: Lunch is on us! If you feel more comfortable bringing your own lunch, you may — but our Panther Café has amazing food!
    Parents and Guardians: The morning of your student's visit, parents and guardians will participate in a student-led tour of the school, and join a group discussion with our Head of School and Principal, along with current students, parents and faculty members.
  • Schedule Admissions Testing

    • Students applying for grade 9 are required to take the High School Placement Test (HSPT). 
      • Students who currently attend a diocesan elementary school will take the test on Thursday, November 30, 2023 during the school day.
      • Students not enrolled in a diocesan school must pre-register to take the exam. Paul VI will host HSPT testing on Saturday, December 2, 2023 and Saturday, January 6, 2024 from 9 a.m. to noon. To register for the HSPT testing, click here.
    • If you are scheduled to take the HSPT at another location, please be sure to enter Paul VI’s code 55 on your test. 
      • PVI will need to receive HSPT scores on or before January 15, 2024.
  • Request Teacher Recommendations

    Students who currently attend a diocesan elementary school: Recommendation forms will be automatically sent from your school to Mike Cresson

    Students not enrolled in a diocesan school: Using your Checklist, email your teacher, counselor or administrator the Recommendation Form to complete. Your teacher will upload this to your Checklist once completed.
  • Request School Transcripts

    Students who currently attend a diocesan elementary school: Records will be automatically sent from your school to Mike Cresson.

    Students not enrolled in a diocesan school: Download the Records Request Form and submit it to the registrar at your school. Your current school should send Paul VI your grades, standardized test results, attendance records, and disciplinary actions to Mike Cresson.
