Welcome to the Science Department
The goal of the Science Department at Paul VI High School is educate students to become scientifically literate. Students will aquire basic knowledge of the major concepts of science and be able to use science-related skills to help them navigate in a world where new scientific frontiers open every day.
Required courses in science are Earth and Physical Science and Biology, recommended for 9th and 10th grade year, respectively. An additional credit in Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science, Advanced Biology, or Advanced Chemistry is also required. Colleges require two credits in a laboratory science. All levels of biology, chemistry, and physics courses meet this requirement.
PVI graduation requirements include 3 credits of science
